Recruiting now for our PTO! We encourage all families to check it out and consider a role!
Team Kids is a national school-based, student-led youth leadership program bringing together students with on-duty police officers, firefighters, mentors, and Team Kids local university intern volunteers.
4th and 5th grade students who wish to participate on the leadership team VOTE on local causes they want to amplify. Weekly school-wide challenges take place leading up to a CARNIVAL (Feb 21) with all proceeds benefiting a local charity of the leadership team’s choice!
THIS WEEK: The Team Kids leadership team selected the RED CROSS as the cause - and they are asking students to bring in COINS Tuesday through Friday to donate!
CHINESE IMMERSION PROGRAM
At our January PTO meeting, Mrs. Vela presented the details of the Mandarin Immersion Program
coming to Hicks Canyon Elementary in the next school year.
