IT'S HUSTLE SEASON!
Click the image below for our launch video!
This is our biggest fundraiser of the year - and the most fun! This year's Jog-A-Thon has a new logo, a new name and a new fundraising website, but all the excitement you love about this crowd-favorite event!
We have a BIG goal - $90,000! We rely on this event to ensure we can continue to offer all of the amazing programs that the PTO supports. We appreciate your help in reaching for the stars!
REGISTER YOUR HUSKY!
1) To register your Husky and start fundraising - visit www.mybooster.com
2) Click “sign up” and then “I’m a parent or guardian” and follow the steps. You'll create YOUR account before selecting our school and event.
Tips for creating your account and making your student(s) page(s):
- Select the “sign up with GOOGLE” option if you use Gmail… that way you don’t have to remember another password/login!
- Use YOUR name (not your child’s name) to create the account. You will have a chance to add your student(s) later to make their fundraising page… but the account itself is under YOUR name. They ask for your birthday to confirm you are 18+.
- If it’s saying you already have an account when you try to create one – it might be because you’ve donated to another school/program with this before. Just login (use “forgot password” if you need to!) and then choose “I’m a Parent” – and find our school to continue the process. If it auto-populates your name… make sure the account name is YOUR name, not your child’s.
- Here's a quick tutorial video if you'd like to see the steps! The video shows them signing up with an email address… but consider using a google login if you can!
- If you have more than one kid at Hicks – it will walk you through the steps to add multiple kids. When a donor makes a donation – they will have the chance to split it equally between your kids!
CUSTOMIZE YOUR PAGE!
You can modify the donation goal, upload a photo, and even customize the wording on your student's page!
Just click the little box next to their name once you are logged in:
Check out this link for a full tour of the customization options.
SHARE THE PAGE WITH FRIENDS AND FAMILY!
You can share the page with the tools on your page - the Booster platform makes it easy to email your contacts, share on Facebook, or copy the link to send a text or include it in a personal email. Remember - if you send 10 emails through the "easy emailer" - your Husky can earn their first paw charm!
WANT TO DONATE WITH CASH OR CHECKS?
Easy! Just put cash and checks (made out "Hicks Canyon PTO") in an envelope WITH YOUR STUDENT'S NAME AND TEACHER clearly written on the outside, and get it to your teacher!
We HIGHLY encourage you to create your account FIRST (steps above) even if you don't plan to fundraise online, so we can ensure it's credited correctly and you qualify for incentives - and you'll receive notification - once we receive it.
MATCHING GIFTS
If your company has a matching gift program - be sure to complete the process to submit your donation for a match! Once you receive confirmation of the match acceptance, email us at huskyhustle@hickscanyon.org and we will credit your Husky's page!

VOLUNTEER ON THE HUSTLE TEAM!
AT-HOME Jobs
Safety Pin Prep:
Looking for an easy job you can do while watching White Lotus? This is it! We need safety pins counted out and separated into envelopes for each class. If you can do 10 classes worth... that would be a huge help! Just email us at huskyhustle@hickscanyon.org and we'll coordinate to get you the class counts and supplies!
Certificate prep:
We have a stack of certificates to give to our students at the end of the event - and we need them separated into piles to distribute to classes based on student numbers. I'll get you the box of certificates and the class # counts... just need you to count them out and label bundles with the teacher's names. Email us at huskyhustle@hickscanyon.org if you can help out!
CHARM DISTRIBUTION TEAM
This role DOES require some on-campus time: estimated about 30 minutes per week starting the week of April 7th and ending the week of April 28. It could even be less... depending on how many reps sign up for your grade!
CHARM DELIVERY TEAM MEMBERS will:
- Deliver charms to classrooms - handing them out to kids who have earned incentives! This needs to be done 1/week for the 4 weeks leading up to the event. You'll have a roster for each class clarifying exactly what each student has earned for that week - and you'll let them pick their charm colors and help them thread them on their necklaces.
- AFTER the event - you'll schedule and host 2 ice-pop parties for the winning classes in your grade (one for the top fundraising class, and one for the class with the most laps run). You'll coordinate the timing of these with the winning classroom teachers in early May.
All materials and training are provided for you - we just need you to bring your enthusiasm and excitement about the Husky Hustle! Complete the sign-up form to join us!
EVENT DAY VOLUNTEERS
We have several event day roles available:
1) Set Up Crew
The Set Up team will arrive at 7 AM to help set up tables, water stations, signage, etc. You'll be done by 8 AM.
2) Classroom volunteers will arrive to the classroom 15 minutes BEFORE the warm up time (see above) and help:
- Pin race #s on students
- Take a pre-event class photo
- Escort the class to the field
- Work the water stations during the run (and clean up the area after)
- Escort students to the ice pop cool-down area and help them get ice pops
- Stay with the class until the teacher escorts them back to class
- Submit your best photos to our communications team
3) Front Gate and Ice Pop Crew
You'll arrive 20 minutes BEFORE the warm up time for your session and help welcome spectators and get them signed in at the front office before they head to the field. After cheering on our runners - you'll then head to the lunch tables when there is 5 minutes left of the run to collect ice pops from the freezer - and be ready to distribute to classroom volunteers as they head over with their class.
Please note you can NOT be both a classroom volunteer and Front Gate/Ice Pop... please choose just one! ALL of our volunteers will be able to cheer on their students in the run - we promise you won't miss it!
