The Hustle Returns on Tuesday, March 24th!
The Husky Hustle is our annual Jog-A-Thon event - it's our biggest fundraiser of the year -
and the most fun!
Students collect donations to support all of the programs that PTO provides, and we celebrate on the event day with some spirited fun! Check out the video from last year for a little taste of the excitement!
As students fundraise... they can earn incentives (including our famous charms), and raffle tickets to win some incredible prizes after the event. There are also several classroom contests going leading up to the event and after - scroll below for more info!
EVERY student participates in the Husky Hustle on event day. It's a school-wide event celebrating fitness, fun and school spirit!
We rely on this event to ensure we can continue to offer all of the amazing programs that the PTO supports. We appreciate your help in reaching for the stars!
Hicks Canyon Elementary PTO is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. All donations are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law.

HUSTLE REPORT VIDEOS
Visit this link to see our Weekly Hustle Report videos (90 seconds each!)
Does YOUR Husky want to be a Hustle Reporter? Contact huskyhustle@hickscanyon.org for details! (Reporters MUST be registered for the event - it's free!)
REGISTER YOUR HUSKY!
1) To register your Husky and start fundraising - visit www.mybooster.com
2) Click “sign up” and then “I’m a parent or guardian” and follow the steps. You'll create YOUR account before selecting our school and event. If you registered last year, just sign in to MyBooster and it will bring up your account!
Tips for creating your account and making your student(s) page(s):
- Select the “sign up with GOOGLE” option if you use Gmail… that way you don’t have to remember another password/login!
- Use YOUR name (not your child’s name) to create the account. You will have a chance to add your student(s) later to make their fundraising page… but the account itself is under YOUR name. They ask for your birthday to confirm you are 18+.
- If it’s saying you already have an account when you try to create one – it might be because you’ve donated to another school/program with this before. Just login (use “forgot password” if you need to!) and then choose “I’m a Parent” – and find our school to continue the process. If it auto-populates your name… make sure the account name is YOUR name, not your child’s.
- Here's a quick tutorial video if you'd like to see the steps! The video shows them signing up with an email address… but consider using a google login if you can!
- If you have more than one kid at Hicks – it will walk you through the steps to add multiple kids. When a donor makes a donation – they will have the chance to split it equally between your kids!
CUSTOMIZE YOUR PAGE!
You can modify the donation goal, upload a photo, and even customize the wording on your student's page!
Just click the little box next to their name once you are logged in:
Check out this link for a full tour of the customization options.
SHARE THE PAGE WITH FRIENDS AND FAMILY!
You can share the page with the tools on your page - the Booster platform makes it easy to email your contacts, share on Facebook, or copy the link to send a text or include it in a personal email.
Remember - if you send 10 emails through the "easy emailer" - your Husky can earn their first paw charm!
PREFER TO DONATE WITH CASH OR CHECKS?
Easy! Just put cash and checks (made out "Hicks Canyon PTO") in an envelope WITH YOUR STUDENT'S FULL NAME AND TEACHER clearly written on the outside, and get it to your teacher!
We HIGHLY encourage you to create your account FIRST (steps above) even if you don't plan to fundraise online, so we can ensure it's credited correctly and you qualify for incentives - and you'll receive notification once it's entered.
Cash/Check donations are collected each FRIDAY and entered over the weekend so that you will qualify for charms in the next deliveries, and it will count toward the class contest that closes Sunday night. DONATIONS ARE NOT ENTERED THE DAY THEY ARE RECEIVED. Please understand that we are volunteers - we will get it in as soon as we can. :)
MATCHING GIFTS
If your company has a matching gift program - be sure to complete the process to submit your donation for a match to make your donation go twice as far! Once you receive confirmation of the match acceptance, forward us the confirmation email to huskyhustle@hickscanyon.org and we will credit your Husky's page!
Not sure if your company has a program? Ask your HR department! Contact treasurer@hickscanyon.org to check on the status of a processed matching gift.
PRIZES!

- UPDATE: After our first charms deliveries, we realized the bracelets are not consistently strong enough to stay "locked". Many students already received bracelets - they are theirs to keep! EVERY student has also received a necklace as well. They can choose how they would like to string their charms... on a necklace.. or on the bracelet attached to their backpack (we recommend securing it with a little tape).

- If your student loses their necklace, bracelet or charms, we are not able to replace them.
- Deliveries are based on funds recorded by SUNDAY NIGHT. Our volunteers visit classrooms throughout the week - but all deliveries are based on donations from Sunday night. If you made a donation on Tuesday, the charm will be delivered NEXT week.
- With different volunteers handling each class - it's possible siblings in different classrooms may not get charms on the same day. Please be patient and wait until the end of the week to reach out to our Husky Hustle team if you think you didn't receive yours.
- Charms will not be replaced if lost. We let each class know this - and encourage them to keep them safe with their backpacks - and not bring them to recess or lunch.
