Dine at Lazy Dog- or just pick up one of their fun Gingerbread House kits to do as an activity at home! Just show this flier and the PTO gets 15% of the bill! Today is the last day!
It's the deadline to register for the last 3 classes of our Wednesday After School programs in this special "mini session"- open to all of our Little Mermaid cast members and anyone who just wants to check it out. Learn more!

5th grade BOYS volleyball tryouts will be held during lunch on the volleyball court. Please make sure to wear comfy clothes that allow you to move freely and supportive shoes. Sign up to try out!

Walk Through Revolution

Our 5th Graders got an in-depth look into the American Revolution through the "Walk Through Revolution" program! Students explore the famous events, historical figures, and relevant vocabulary of this pivotal point in America’s history. Through dramatic activities, students “become” famous men and women of the American Revolution. Flags, maps, re-enactments, music, and games help students explore and understand the importance of American liberty and patriotism.

Art Masters

After an assembly learning more about Rembrandt's life and works a few weeks ago - it was time to get hands on!

Our lower grades experimented with shadows and light with their monochrome Windmill, while upper grades dove deeper into how textures play into creating depth, making their vases "pop" in the light!

Did you know that over the course of your child's time at HCE, they will learn about 30 different artists through the Art Master's program? During their sessions they'll have access to artist quality materials (like chalk pastels) that otherwise wouldn't be available - and learn artistic terms and techniques that will broaden their understanding!

This is one of the PTO's favorite programs - and we're proud to be able to both fund and provide the volunteers to make it happen!

4th & 5th Grade Boys Track

Congrats to the 4th & 5th Grade Boys Track team for a great meet on Thursday! Huge thanks to Ms. Kusunoki, Mrs. Bailey and Coach Malone!

The PTO loves being able to support our HCE sports teams with funding and volunteer support!

Tournament of Champions: Harvest Cup Wrap-Up!

Our Husky Soccer teams had an incredible weekend in the Harvest Cup last weekend - and we wanted to followup with the results!

5th Co-Ed Team beat the team from Santiago Hills (5-1) on Friday night, and followed up with a victory vs. Loma Ridge (5-2) on Saturday morning before falling to Brywood (1-3) that afternoon!
The 3rd Grade boys beat Westpark 4-1 on Friday, shut out Portola Springs 2-0 and bested Heritage 3-1 - making it to the semi-finals! They played an incredible game vs.Stone Creek - ending in a 1-1 tie! Stone Creek came out on top in the penalty kick shoot out to break the tie (2-4), ending our HCE run at the title. What a nail-biter!

We are so proud of all of our amazing athletes for such a great showing!

Don't forget to SAVE your Marketplace receipts! You can enter them online OR just bring them to school (there's a drop box in the front office) and our volunteers will enter them for you (you can bring us copies if you need to keep originals!)
