It's here! Two weeks of Winter Break!

We wanted to take this moment to wish ALL of our Husky families, teachers and staff, PTO members, volunteers and sponsors a WONDERFUL winter break!

To all of the HCE families: We love being a part of your student's lives through programs and events the PTO supports - and we can't wait to share even more to come in 2025!

This is the last Tails from the Bark Side of 2024 - we look forward to seeing everyone back at school and sharing more Tails on Monday, January 6th!

What a year it's been!

As a new HCE family last year - I was so surprised to see just how much the PTO provides for our students - programs I assumed were just "part of school." We encourage all of our Husky families to learn more about what the PTO provides - and get involved, either as a member, volunteer, or just be in-the-know!

It's NEVER too late to join the PTO. Consider joining as a year-end gift (the PTO is a 501c3... donations are tax-deductible!) and still qualify for incentives!

Save those receipts!

Save ALL of those receipts from EVERY store AND service in the Marketplace! Turn them in using the envelope from your Friday Folder (or just bring them in to the front office, or enter them online!)

Here's a few things you might have forgotten that count toward Earn & Learn:

A Christmas Tree purchase at Home Depot
All of those gift card purchases at Target
The coffee at Starbucks... or the other Starbucks across the street. :)
A mani-pedi at Happy Nails
The new holiday sweater at Nordstrom Rack or Old Navy
The gift card and "just one thing for me too" at Sephora
A car wash at Fast 5
Your gym membership at 24 Hour Fitness (screenshot the payment from your credit card bill!)

Don't forget to SAVE your Marketplace receipts! You can enter them online OR just bring them to school (there's a drop box in the front office) and our volunteers will enter them for you (you can bring us copies if you need to keep originals!)

Ralphs Club Shoppers!

1) Visit www.ralphs.com and log in to your Ralphs account.

2) Go to "my account" and then "community contributions".

3) Search for us by either looking for “Hicks Canyon Elementary PTO” OR use our ID: KU262… and click “Enroll”.

Download the app... select Hicks Canyon Elementary as your school.... scan your receipts... donations go straight to HCE PTO... no clipping boxes necessary!
